Minister Grants 3400 Land Certificate To Bengkulu Communities

TEMPO.CO, Mukomuko - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Ferry Mursyidan Baldan issued 3,400 certificates of land and buildings to communities in Mukomuko, Bengkulu.
"The status of land in [Mukomuko] must be clear because land can not be separated from the people and should be given recognition," said Ferry in Mukomuko, Bengkulu on Wednesday, August 26.
The certificate issuance is part of a national program of legalization of land and buildings that is free of charge.
Ferry said Mukomuko as it was expanded in 2003, should have a design and an ideal example for the land status clarityin the province of Bengkulu.
The former member of Parliament says the state will be present and contribute to resolving land conflicts.
Ferry said Mukomuko is included in land conflict-prone areas that must be resolved soon.
He then instructed local BPN office heads to be active to help legalize certificates of land and buildings.
