TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Diaspora Network (IDN) Global Congress will again be orgainized the third Indonesian Diaspore Congress (CID III) August in Jakarta, with the theme "Diaspora Bakti Bangsa” or Diaspore Serving the Nation, reports said Thursday, July 30, 2015.
Global Indonesian Diaspora Network (IDN) President, Mohamad Al-Arief told Antara on Thursday said the CID III meeting received support from the Indonesian government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in coordination with other ministries and relevant agencies.
Al-Arief said the meeting is an attempt for the Indonesian diaspore abroad to synergize with the country, including the government, legislature, private sectors, academia and civil society to solve the nation's problems.
The congress will discusse a number of important issues such as livable city, health, higher education, economics, culinary, creative economy, dual nationality, maritime, youth and many more.
CID III is expected to be attended by Indonesian diaspore scattered in various parts of the world, among others from the USA, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Qatar, China, Australia and is expected to be attended approximately 15,000 people.
The congress is planned to be opened by President Joko Widodo and attended by ministers and other prominent figures.
The CID III will be held on on August 12 to 13, 2015 at Hotel Bidakara and SMESCO Convention Hall, Jakarta, Indonesia. To attend, participants should fill the registration form at the congress website at www.cid-3.com.
