TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) invited private property developer companies to make investment in the development of light rail transit (LRT) project after the Jakarta provincial council rejected the proposed budge of Rp200 billion to build LRT in 2015 regional budget draft.
"We have asked private sectors to work with us to build LRT,” Basuki said at the city hall.
He also said that he had invited directors of property developer companies in a meeting to discuss the offer.
The meeting was attended by several developers such as Sedayu Group, Agung Podomoro Land, JIExpo, Summarecon, Panin Group, Lippo Group, and Intiland.
The governor further said that their willingness to make investment would be exchanged with the permit to increase the co-efficient of the size of the building to their properties as compensation.
He also said that developers were allowed to add the number of floors in the building while building supporting infrastructures of LRT.
On that occasion, the companies that have expressed their interest to make investment would propose documents of the planning of development technicalities.
