TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - E-commerce giant Amazon.com is launching the ‘Amazon Echo’, a speaker that you can talk to, Antara News reported.
Amazon said the speaker, which runs on Amazon Web Services, continually learns a user's speech patterns and preferences.
As written in Reuters site, the device are not only taking commands related to the music playlist, but can also accesses the internet to answer questions such as "when is Thanksgiving?" and "what is the weather forecast?".
User can start the speaker by saying the word ‘Alexa’. They can then feed Amazon Echo commands or questions or, if they want, wirelessly stream music web services such as Spotify, iTunes and Pandora via their mobiles.
Amazon tags the speaker with US$199 or US$99 for members of Amazon Prime loyalty scheme. The device is only available in an invitation-only basis in coming weeks.
