TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A Taxiku cab flipped over on Jl. Kartini, Margahayu Village, East Bekasi, earlier today. An eye-witness said the incident started when the cab was speeding after coming out of Bani Saleh Foundation. Just 50 meters away, the yellow-colored cab went out of control and hit a motorcycle. "The cab kept going and went to speed up," Bagus said in a statement.
The cab went out of control once again and hit the car in front of it. Some pedestrians were wounded as they were dragged by the cab. The taxi finally made a complete stop after hitting a car parked on the side of the road.
"The cab flipped over and hit a parking car," said the witness. The driver had briuses in the face and passed out. Injured victims were immediately rushed to Bhakti Kartini Hospital.
"We have confiscated the cab as an evidence," said the head of Unit for Traffic Accidents of Bekasi Resort Police, Adj. Commissioner Heri Purwanto, adding that no fatalities reported.
