TEMPO.CO, Chibok - US President Barack Obama will soon send a team of experts to help Nigeria in finding 200 schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram in Chibok, Nigeria, since last month.
"We're going to do everything we can to provide assistance to them. In the short term, our goal is obviously to help the international community, and the Nigerian government, as a team to do everything we can to recover these young ladies," Obama told NBC News in an interview.
Boko Haram has also threatened to sell those teenage girls into slavery. Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan then asked for international help to handle this case.
US Secretary of State John Kerry said he had talked to Jonathan on the phone and offered a team which consists of US military personnel and law enforcers to conduct deeper investigation and negotiation with Boko Haram.
Boko Haram has been the target of US intelligence. In a document, US spy agents gather data of Boko Haram related to terrorism with the highest priority.
