TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Dozens of teenagers from Indonesia becomes victims of prostitution scams in Malaysia. Set out with the intention of gaining high-paying jobs, but once they had arrived in Malaysia, they were forced to become commercial sex workers. Those teenagers were recruited by a woman initials 'FZ' or commonly known as Ina from Bogor.
From the story of a teenager, who asked for protection to the Indonesian Embassy, said that as soon as they had arrived in Malaysia, Ina plunged those teenagers into the sex industry. Some deceptions that were used by Ina to cheat the victims, as follows:
Ina promised the teenager a job to become a salon worker with the salary of Rp4 to 8 million. After arriving in Malaysia, Ina forced them to become commercial sex workers in several Spa service and Karaoke owned by Opa Mani.
To those young women who were brought to Malaysia, Ina forced them to serve men with reason of reimbursement for the travel cost to Malaysia which is considered a debt by Ina. To 'N', a victim from Depok, for example, Ina said that her cost for travel, lodging and dining were considered a debt that reached 14,000 Ringgit (nearly Rp50 million).
To fool the immigration officials at the airport, Ina changed those young women's birth date, that she will bring to Malaysia, to become older. "They confessed that all documents were organized by Ina, including the change in the date of birth," said Herman.
Indonesian Embassy, cooperates with the Police and immigration of Malaysia, have been looking for the existence of 60 young women who are still be under the grip of Ina's syndicate, but have not succeeded. At her resident in Sri Putra Mas Condominium, Kuala Lumpur, Ina is also unseen.
