TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo planned to add more medical staffs to accommodate the increasing number of the Jakarta Health Card users. In 2014, Jokowi is set to add over 600 additional medical staffs in regional hospitals and clinics.
"We will likely to add [new staff] each year," said Jokowi.
In total, the governor plans to recruit 1,400 new medical staffs for to improve service quality.
Chief of the Jakarta Health Office Dien Emmawati, stated that out of the total 3,000 medical staffs in Jakarta, only 1,000 of them are categorized as civil servants.
"As for next year's recruitment, the candidates will be chosen from the civil servant selection applicants," Dien stated.
