TEMPO.CO, Bogor - Bogor City Police are now equipped with bulletproof vest while on duty, especially those related to the crime lines. "We do this in light of of a series of the shooting incident," said Police Chief Senior Commissioner Ujang Purnama.
Bulletproof vest is seen as a way to ensure the offiers' safety from threats. "There are over 1,170 officers serving in Bogor," he said.
"We are still listing the number of vests we have," he said. "If it turns out to be insufficient, we will file for additional pieces the police headquarter."
Dede Supriatna, a Patrol Unit officer said to feel more optimistic and safer while on tour. "The vest turns out to be less heavy and it does not disturb my movements," he said.
