TEMPO.CO, Boston – Based on information collected from an inside source at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, CNN stated that FBI has arrested two men suspected to be responsible for the Boston bombing incident. However, they immediately revised the statement and claimed that no arrest has been made.
On the other hand, the Associated Press insistently reported that a man has been taken into custody following the investigation of an amateur video showing a suspicious figure.
Meanwhile, LA Times claimed that the FBI is seeking for two people with bakcpack who were seen talking to their phones shortly before the first bomb exploded.
Michael Barker an employee of Cell-Loc, a mobile tracking company, explained how a person can be tracked through their mobile phone. “Whenever your phone is activated, it constantly transmits signal to your provider, telling them where you are,” Barker said.
The signal contains electronic serial number which informs the provider about incoming and outgoing calls through a transmission tower.
FBI agents will then contact the provider and locate the nearest tower used by the phone. “The law enforcer can track the signal to find the location within 1 mile radius,” he added.
