Prabowo Leads June 1 Pancasila Day Ceremony as Chief Inspector

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will act as the inspector of the Pancasila Day ceremony at the Pancasila Field, Taman Pejambon Street, Jakarta, on Monday, June 1, 2026. The ceremony will commence at 10.00 AM WIB (Western Indonesian Time).

"The President of the Republic of Indonesia will be present and act as the Inspector of the Ceremony," said the Head of the Indonesian Ideology Pancasila Development Board (BPIP), Yudian Wahyudi, in Jakarta on Friday, May 29, 2026, as monitored on BPIP's YouTube channel.

Yudian stated that the 2026 Pancasila Day carries the theme "Pancasila Unites the Nation, Foundation for World Peace." This theme emphasizes the relevance of Pancasila's values in maintaining the nation's unity and responding to the creation of world peace. "The logo used in this year's commemoration is our national emblem, namely the Garuda Pancasila," he said.

BPIP has issued Circular Letter Number 2 of 2026 regarding the Guidelines for the Commemoration of the 2026 Pancasila Day. This letter urges all state institutions, ministries, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the National Police, local governments, educational institutions, and the public to raise the Indonesian flag for the entire day on June 1, 2026.

BPIP also urged to conduct social activities on May 31, 2026. Such activities include blood donations, free health check-ups, social aid distribution, charity markets, community work, environmental inspections, and worship places.

BPIP also requested all employees to participate in the ceremony in their respective regions. The flag-lowering ceremony will be held at 5.00 PM local time. The lowering will be carried out concisely and solemnly by the flag-raising troop (Paskibraka) without the presence of the ceremony participants and guests.
