TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - At The Game Awards 2025 held on December 11 in Los Angeles, Sony Interactive Entertainment and partner developers unveiled key updates on highly anticipated PlayStation 5 exclusive titles, giving fans a fresh look at three major games heading to PS5 in 2026.
Housemarque’s SAROS Gets April 30, 2026 Release Date
One of the night’s biggest announcements was the release date for SAROS, the next sci-fi action title from Finnish developer Housemarque, known for Returnal. IGN reported that a new trailer showcased the game’s intense, bullet-driven combat and narrative focus, set on the mysterious world of Carcosa under an eclipse, with an ensemble cast including protagonist Arjun Devraj.
SAROS is now scheduled for April 30, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and the enhanced PS5 Pro platform, following a minor delay from its earlier planned March launch. Pre-orders are open now on the PlayStation Store. According to Sony’s announcement, the Digital Standard Edition will carry an SRP of Rp1,029,000 (approximately USD 70), while the Digital Deluxe Edition priced at Rp1,169,000 (about USD 80) includes 48-hour early access and cosmetic bonuses. Physical editions are set to be available for pre-order at local retailers beginning December 19, 2025 — details may vary by store.
SAROS promises to blend fast-paced action with deep world-building and narrative, giving longtime PlayStation fans a new single-player experience that builds on Housemarque’s signature “bullet ballet” combat while pushing the studio’s storytelling ambitions further.
4:LOOP Debuts First Look Trailer
Also highlighted at the show was 4:LOOP, a cooperative four-player shooter developed in partnership between Sony and Bad Robot Games, the studio co-founded by Star Wars creator J.J. Abrams. Based on the reporting from Gamespot, the first gameplay and concept footage revealed a sci-fi universe where players work together to disrupt an alien mining operation, with meta-progression systems and evolving equipment load-outs.
Although a specific release date has not yet been confirmed, 4:LOOP is available for wishlist on the PlayStation Store and Steam, allowing players to receive updates on closed tests and future announcements.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin Shows Open-World Co-op Gameplay
Netmarble’s The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, a free-to-play open-world action RPG based on the popular anime and manga franchise, also made a splash with a new trailer at The Game Awards. As reported by IGN, the footage showcased expansive traversal mechanics, high-fidelity visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5, and cooperative raid battles designed for PS5, PC, and mobile platforms.
The game is scheduled to launch on January 28, 2026, with early trailers emphasizing teamwork, exploration, and cinematic storytelling across the multiverse-spanning world of Britannia.
Looking Ahead
These reveals reflect a broader commitment by Sony and partner developers to bolster the PS5’s exclusive lineup in 2026, balancing high-profile single-player experiences like SAROS with innovative multiplayer and cooperative titles.
Gamers in Indonesia and beyond now have concrete details on several upcoming PS5 highlights to add to their 2026 wishlists, with pre-orders and early access options already rolling out for the season’s most anticipated new releases.
