Adaro Energy Owned by Boy Thohir Changes Name to PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The company owned by Garibaldi Thohir aka Boy Thohir, PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO), officially changed its name on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. The coal company is now renamed PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk.

"Thus, amending Article 1 paragraph (1) of the Company's articles of association regarding the Company's name," said the Adaro board of directors in their statement on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) website on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.

This step is the result of an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders (RUPSLB) on November 18. This change was approved by 87.153 percent or 22,372,506,419 shareholders. Meanwhile, 3,297,580,614 or 12.846 shareholders did not approve.

In the RUPSLB, the shareholders also agreed that the company would distribute cash dividends to all shareholders amounting to 2.62 billion USD or around Rp 41.7 trillion (exchange rate: Rp 15,916). This dividend is derived from part of the company's undistributed profits as of December 31, 2023. "Approve the determination and utilization of part of the undistributed profits," said Adaro management in the disclosure information on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) website, quoted on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.

In the distribution of dividends, the management has also scheduled the following:

1. Announcement of the schedule and procedures for the distribution of additional final cash dividends on the Indonesia Stock Exchange website and the Company's website on November 20, 2024.

2. Shareholders' registeration date for entitlement to additional final cash dividends ("record date") on November 29, 2024.

3. Announcement of the Conversion Rate (using the Bank Indonesia Middle Rate) and information on the dividend amount per share on the Indonesia Stock Exchange website and the Company's website on November 29, 2024

4. Regular and negotiation market: Cum dividend on November 26, 2024, and Ex dividend on November 28, 2024.

5. Cash market: Cum dividend on November 29, 2024, and Ex dividendon December 2, 2024

6. Distribution of additional final cash dividends on December 6, 2024.
