TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Transjakarta buses will continue to operate during the grand mass event led by Pope Francis at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium, Central Jakarta, September 5, 2024.
Director of Operations and Safety of PT Transjakarta, Daud Joseph, said the number of routes operating will be adjusted to the needs of the community.
“People don't need to worry, we make sure the routes are increased in number. For congregations who will attend mass, they can take the Transjakarta buses from any point where it will end up at GBK, also through indirect transit,” Joseph said in a written statement, August 30, 2024.
Joseph said Transjakarta will alert all officers and ensure that services are available until late at night so that customer mobility needs are met. He said operational services would be applied tentatively depending on the number of passengers.
“If there is a need and customers still accumulate until 22:00 WIB, then we can increase service hours until 00:00 WIB as needed. Because that is Transjakarta's responsibility,” he said.
