Indonesia's Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi emphasized that the country is open to and pursuing "quality investment" from China amid a surge in bilateral investment and trade values in the past decade.
"We want to see quality investment (from China), which means an investment that respects Environment, Sustainability, and Governance (ESG) principles," Marsudi told Antara on Friday, August 23, 2024.
2. 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum: Rwanda Hoping to Sign New Agreement with Indonesia
Rwandan Ambassador to Indonesia Sheikh Abdul Karim Harelimana has expressed hopes of signing several new agreements with Indonesia on the sidelines of the 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF).
The forum will be held in Bali from September 1–3, 2024.
"We expect, on the sidelines of the IAF, some other MOUs will be signed, especially between the PSF with Kadin (Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry)," Harelimana told Antara on Thursday, referring to the Private Sector Federation (PSF), which has a similar role as Kadin.
