TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta is set to host the 2024 Indonesia - South and Central Asia (INASCA) Business Forum on October 7, 2024. The flagship program is designed to promote economic collaboration, showcase business opportunities, and facilitate strategic partnerships between Indonesia and South and Central Asian countries.
With the theme "Unlocking Potential and Fostering Economic Partnership", INASCA 2024 aims to encourage market diversification among businesses and unlock untapped potential for transactions worth millions of dollars. The forum is expected to boost trade, tourism, and investment between Indonesia and South and Central Asian countries on an ongoing basis.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ official website, the 2024 INASCA Business Forum will be held in a hybrid manner by offering physical and virtual participation options to participants.
Participants are welcome to seize opportunities and develop networks with stakeholders in Indonesia and the South and Central Asia region through panel discussions, business pitching, and matching.
South and Central Asia which houses approximately 2.1 billion people, serves as an important interface between politics, economics, and rich cultural diversity. With a combined GDP exceeding US$5.2 trillion, this region is a large market with geographical and historical proximity to Indonesia.
INASCA 2024 serves as an opportunity for Indonesia to actively encourage attracting foreign investment, diversify exports, and increase the tourism industry to improve the economy between Indonesia and countries in the South and Central Asia region.
Economic relations between Indonesia and South and Central Asia have experienced extraordinary growth, with the total trade volume exceeding US$43.5 billion in 2022. Over 312,166 tourists from South and Central Asia have visited Indonesia, which has helped strengthen cultural and tourism exchanges between Indonesia and the region.
