TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The success of the Bandung football team Persib in the Liga 1 championship will be greeted with a convoy on Saturday, June 1. Authorities plan to divert traffic and close several roads, including the toll exit.
“Avoid roads from Pasteur to Gedung Sate,” said a Bandung Traffic Police officer on its Instagram account on Friday, May 31.
The police will announce the road closure and traffic diversion based on the situation regarding the welcome convoy of the Persib Bandung team on Saturday, June 1.
For people or travelers who plan to enter Bandung, the Pasteur exit will be closed and diverted to other toll gates such as Baros, Pasir Koja, Moh.Toha, Kopo, and Buah Batu.
Traffic at Jalan Gunung Batu will be diverted via Cimindi. Traffic at Jalan Surya Sumantri will be diverted to Jalan Sutami or Geger Kalong. In the city center, traffic at Jalan Surapati will be diverted to Jalan Supratman via Pusdai, and traffic at Jalan Diponegoro will be diverted to nearby roads.
Convoy Route
The convoy route to welcome the Persib team will start from the Pasteur toll gate to Jalan Djunjunan, Jalan Pajajaran, Wastukencana, Riau, Banda, and end at Gedung Sate. The convoy is planned to begin at 14:00 local time.
The fans, known as bobotoh, in Bandung, immediately convoyed Friday night, May 31, 2024, after the Persib team beat the Madura United team again at home with a score of 3-1 in the final round. In the previous match in Bandung, Persib beat Madura United with three goals.
