Prabowo-Gibran Ready to Cooperate on 2025 State Budget Draft If Jokowi Asks

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Member of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka National Campaign Team’s (TKN) Expert Council, Drajad Wibowo, said his side is ready to help draft the 2025 State Budget if requested by President Joko Jokowi Widodo, who will end his office term in October and be succeeded by Prabowo, the president-elect in the 2024 elections.
Drajad assessed that coordinating the preparation of the 2025 State Budget Draft (RAPBN) is a step to prepare the new government and ensure a smooth fiscal policy transition.
“The authority to prepare the 2025 RAPBN remains with President Jokowi's government. The coordinator is of course Finance Minister Sri Mulyani,” the National Mandate Party (PAN) politician said in his written message to Tempo on Wednesday, April 24.
Drajad said the Prabowo-Gibran camp is also willing to help the Finance Ministry, the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), and Bank Indonesia (BI) prepare the details of the 2025 RAPBN.
“The Prabowo-Gibran TKN Expert Council has prepared development programs. Moreover, some of these programs are a continuation of President Jokowi's government programs,” he said.
On April 5, Jokowi held a limited meeting at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta to discuss the indicative ceiling for the 2025 State Budget (APBN). He called for communication with the new government led by the president-elect for 2024-2029.
After the meeting, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani revealed the President’s orders and hopes that priority programs could be executed seamlessly in the first year of the new government.
On April 24, the General Elections Commission (KPU) officially declared Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Jokowi’s eldest son, as the president-elect and vice president-elect following the Constitutional Court’s ruling that dismissed all legal challenges to the 2024 election results.
