Jokowi to Inaugurate Singkawang Airport, Deliver Social Assistance on Visit to West Kalimantan

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi headed for West Kalimantan for a working visit on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. Jokowi will attend several agendas such as inaugurating an airport to distribute social assistance during this visit.
The Head of State and his entourage took off using RJ85 Airplane at around 07:30 a.m. local time, through Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta. The Presidential Secretariat Press Bureau said in a written statement that Jokowi is slated to land at Singkawang Airport, Singkawang City, West Kalimantan.
Jokowi is scheduled to review the facilities and inaugurate Singkawang Airport. Afterward, the former Jakarta Governor will also hand over food aid to the local residents at the Bulog Warehousing Complex, Singkawang City.
From there, Jokowi will continue his journey to Mempawah Regency by car to review the Mempawah Smelter Grade Alumina Refinery (SGAR).
In addition, the President is also scheduled to hand over social assistance to sellers in traditional markets and inaugurate several roads in West Kalimantan.
Accompanying the President during his flight to West Kalimantan was Minister of Public Works and Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, Presidential Military Secretary Major General Rudy Saladin, and Presidential Secretariat Commander Major General Achiruddin.
