TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice presidential candidate number one Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin has exercised his right to vote at the polling station or TPS 023 in Kemang, South Jakarta today, February 14.
“Alhamdulillah, my extended family and I have fulfilled our civic duty. I am very grateful to be able to vote at this TPS as a resident of Kemang,” Muhaimin said after casting the ballots today.
Tempo observed that the National Awakening Party (PKB) chairman arrived at the polling station at around 8 am, along with his wife and three children, who were all dressed in white.
“Thank you to the RT/RW (neighborhood and community units) who have prepared all the election activities, the leader of KPPS (local poll administrators), and the staff involved in preparing for today's election,” he added.
Muhaimin claimed that he felt relieved after voting at the polling station and hoped that the 2024 general elections would run smoothly. “Let's monitor our respective polling stations,” he encouraged the public.
Meanwhile, his partner Anies Baswedan would vote at TPS 060 Cilandak, South Jakarta. Before going to the polling station, Anies had breakfast and prayed with his family at his residence.
