TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The masses joined in Islamic organizations called Islamic Organization Council and Indonesian Coalition to Defend Baitul Maqdis held a 'Stop The War on Gaza' rally before the U.S. Embassy in Central Jakarta this morning to commemorate 100-day of the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.

"We demand the US Embassy to carry out the Indonesian nation's mission that crimes against humanity cannot be committed," said one of the orators during the act on Saturday, Jan. 13.

The mass called on the attorneys in Indonesia to provide resistance according to international law, demanding a permanent ceasefire and a blockade in Palestine.

Based on Tempo observation, the mass gathered since 6 a.m. Hundreds of people flocked to the area until 07:30. Some walked along the road to the U.S. Embassy.

The men wore white clothes while the women were in black with shawls in the colors of the Palestinian flag around their necks.

They rose dozens of Palestine's flags from the small sizes to the large ones. "Raise the flags high, and higher," said the host.

They also unfurled a giant flag in front of the main stage. Apart from speeches from the figures, the action also featured musical performances.

Meanwhile, several shop owners and street vendors were seen selling Palestinian attributes, as well as food and drinks on the side of the road. As a result, Jalan M.I. Ridwan Rais in Central Jakarta was congested.
