"The increased number of passengers is in line with the increasing number of scheduled trips over the weekend. Whoosh high-speed train is one of the chosen modes of transportation for the Jakarta-Bandung route and vice versa," she said in a written statement quoted on Monday.
According to Eva, out of the 21,312 passengers, 497 of them were first-class passengers, equal to 2.3 percent of total passengers. Meanwhile, 886 passengers, or 4.2 percent of them rode business class, and the rest 19,929, or a staggering 93.5 percent were premium economy class passengers.
