KCI Releases Limited Special Independence Day Multi-Trip Card

19 August 2023 00:19 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The operator of KRL, PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) released a limited multi-trip card (KMT) to celebrate the 78th Indonesian Independence Day. With the theme of "Keep Going Forward for an Advanced Indonesia", the KMT consists of two red and white designs and an official Independence Day logo.

"The public could purchase the KMT in every Commuter Line station in Greater Jakarta with a Rp40,000 fee including a Rp10,000 balance. The card is available for a limited amount of 1,000-2,000," said Corporate Secretary KAI Commuter Anne Purba in Jakartakota Station, on Friday, August 18, 2023.

KMT is electronic money (e-money) launched by KAI Commuter. The card is used to facilitate commuter line ticket transactions.

In addition, KMT is also used for parking in commuter line stations and to purchase tickets for other public transportation such as MRT Jakarta, TransJakarta, TransYogya, TransJateng, and in the near future, TransJatim.

KAI Commuter noted that in July 2023, from the total ticket transactions for Commuter Line Greater Jakarta, 57% are KMT users, amounting to 14,467,931 million.

KMT offers several benefits, such as interesting promos and Customer Loyalty Program.

Going forward, Anne added, KAI Commuter will collaborate and innovate to realize a more massive cashless ecosystem. One of which is by implementing the first-mile and last-mile trips by Gojek. Further, the operation of Electronic Money Station is a form of contribution to support the government in realizing a cashless society.
