Pertamina: Pertamax Green 95 Suitable for All Gasoline Vehicles

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina has officially sold its newest fuel product Pertamax Green 95 at a price of Rp13,500 per liter. Pertamina claims that bioethanol fuel is compatible with all gasoline vehicles.
“It is suitable for two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicles consuming gasoline,” Pertamina’s subsidiary PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Director Riva Siahaan said at the soft launching event of Pertamax Green 95 at the MT Haryono gas station, Jakarta, on Monday, July 24, 2023.
Riva explained that his side had conducted a series of tests on vehicles for the use of this new fuel. The trials include laboratory tests, dyno tests, and road tests.
The tests showed that the RON 95 fuel is able to provide better acceleration. “RON 95 will keep the vehicle's engine clean,” Riva said.
Pertamax Green 95 is the fuel blend of 92-octane Pertamax and 5-percent ethanol which is produced from sugarcane molasses.
At present, as many as 15 gas stations have sold Pertamax Green 95: ten gas stations in Surabaya and five gas stations in Jakarta. Those in Surabaya include Jemursari, Soetomo, Mulyosari, Merr, Ketintang, Karang Asem, Mastrip, Citra Raya Boulevard, Juanda, and Buduran gas stations.
In Jakarta, Pertamax Green 95 is available at MT Haryono, Fatmawati 1, Fatmawati 2, Lenteng Agung, and Sultan Iskandar Muda Kebayoran gas stations.
