TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The research team at PT Samuel Sekuritas predicted that IDX Composite potentially strengthens today to 6,840-6,930. The index last weekend fell at the start of the session but strengthened all the way to closing. "The index will potentially continue to strengthen especially if it surpasses 6,880, moving to 6,930. Correction is safe until 6,840," said the Vice President and Senior Technical Analyst PT Samuel Sekuritas Indonesia Muhammad AlFatih in a written statement on Monday, July 24, 2023.
In his analysis today, AlFatih also revealed 5 stocks to be observed, namely BMRI, BRMS, BBTN, BUMI, and CPIN.
First, BMRI closed last weekend at 5,550 or continue rising to the highest price, even with the brief selling pressure. "Potentially continue increasing to 5,700-5,800 then 5,925 with risk limit down 5,450," he said,
Second, BRMS which closed at level 183. The price experienced selling pressure last weekend but managed to rise back up. Potentially continue rising with an uptrend pattern toward theoretical rise target and resistance strong at 191-195, and 202. The risk limit down is 178.
The third stock is BBTN which closed at 1,360 adjacent to the highest price, which proves that the bullish triangle pattern is still prominent. The theoretical rise target since March 2023 is 1,510. "Although there is resistance at 1,450 with a risk limit of 1,340," said AlFatih.
The fourth is BUMI which closed at level 142. The price is still strong with an up-channel pattern. The closest resistance level is 148, then 158-160 with a risk limit down 136.
Lastly, CPIN closed at level 5,175. The price last weekend rapidly strengthened after selling pressure declined it Rp255. "The price will potentially strengthen gradually to 5,300, then 5,500-5,800 with risk limit down 5,125," said AlFatih.
