TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Fair 2023 in Kemayoran has recorded over Rp7.5 trillion in 28 days of its event. It is an improvement of last year’s Rp7.1 trillion, even with shorter days of exhibition. This year, the fair is held on June 14, 2023, until the upcoming July 16, 2023.
“The transactions have increased whereas the number of visitors decreased compared to last year since we are 6 days short,” said Marketing Director JIExpo Kemayoran, Ralph Scheunemann, on Thursday, July 13, 2023, as quoted from Antara.
Ralph reported that this year’s transactions were sustained by a large number of automotive participants, especially well-loved electrical vehicles. The number of companies participating in the Jakarta Fair 2023 also increased. The majority of participants also build eye-catching stalls which attracted visitors.
According to Ralph, the automotive, food and beverages, fashion, and SMSE sectors all have a significant contribution to transaction improvement. He also assessed that the visitors this year have a high purchasing power. “We also saw an extraordinary transactional “power” from the visitors,” he added.
Meanwhile, the number of visitors on its 28th day reached 5.5 million and is targeted to surpass 6.3 million by the closing of Jakarta Fair 2023. According to Ralph, this is a significant achievement even if the number is lower than Jakarta Fair 2022, since this year, the event is only held for 33 days while Jakarta Fair 2022 was held for 39 days. Ralph mentioned that Jakarta Fair 2023 was held successfully, including from the security perspective.
