TEMPO.CO, Bogor - During the 2023 Eid al-Adha holiday, a long traffic jam was seen at the infamous tourist destination in Bogor Regency, Puncak. The long queue of vehicles could be seen from Ciawi toll gate KM 45 heading to the Puncak area along 2.5 kilometers.
Bogor Traffic Police officer Ardian Novianto called on the public heading to Puncak to take alternative routes, such as Tanjungsari, Carii, and the Cibubur exit.
"Considering the traffic density along the main route to Puncak. Since morning, at 7:00, we’ve started implementing the one-way traffic," said Ardian at Gadog TMC Post in Ciawi, Saturday, July 1.
Ardian said that on this long holiday, the traffic density heading to Puncak occurred from Friday, June 30, until today, or Saturday, July 1. The increase in vehicle volume since the first day of the Eid al-Adha holiday until today was predicted to have reached 30 to 40 percent.
To avoid prolonged traffic jams on the Eid al-Adha holiday, Bogor Traffic Police directed the locals or travelers to use alternative routes to and from Puncak. "Pay attention to the traffic engineering that is being implemented, so you don't get stuck in long lines," said Ardian.
