TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Finance Ministry has issued the ORI023-T3 and ORI023-T6 series of retail government bonds (ORI). The 23rd ORI series' offering period is from June 30 to July 20, 2023.

"We are giving an opportunity so that those who paycheck at the beginning of the month and at the end of the month can all make an investment," Deni Ridwan, Director of Government Securities at the ministry's Directorate General of Financing and Risk Management (DJPPR), said at the ORI023 Hang Out event at Tendean Tower Jakarta, Friday, June 30.

ORI are state bonds sold by the government to retail investors in the primary market and can be marketed in the secondary market. Deni explained, ORI023 is available in two tenors. The first is a 3-year bond that matures July 15, 2026 with a coupon of 5.90 per year per year. The second is a tenor of 6 years maturing on July 15, 2029 with a 6.10 percent coupon per year. The ORI023 bond series have fixed coupons paid monthly to the investors' bank accounts.

Deni said ORI023 can be purchased with a minimum purchase of Rp1 million in multiples of Rp1 million. The maximum purchase amount is Rp5 billion for 3-year ORI023 and Rp10 billion for 6-year ORI023.

Any Indonesian with an ID card (KTP) and an ID number (NIK) can invest in ORI023, provided that they are registered as account holders in one of the commercial banks and securities accounts in one of the sub-registries.
