TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno responded to the news that Coldplay will perform an additional show in Singapore, bringing the total number of shows to five. Indonesia, meanwhile, is lobbying the British band to add one more day of their show in Jakarta.
“One of the first things disclosed is about the licensing. In Singapore, permits are [processed] very fast and the cost is very cheap,” Sandiaga said at his office in Central Jakarta, Monday, June 19, 2023.
Because of this, he assessed that the event licensing system in Indonesia must be improved, particularly by accelerating the process through digitization. “So that's the homework we have to complete,” he said.
Nevertheless, Sandiaga claimed that his side is still proposing an additional show, hoping that more tourists will visit the archipelago to watch Coldplay.
Since the pre-sale tickets for the Coldplay concert in Singapore for four days have sold out today, the promoter announced an extra day at Singapore's National Stadium. Thus, the concert day will be on January 23, 24, 26, 27, and 30, 2024.
“The presales for the Coldplay Music Of The Spheres World Tour show on Jan. 23, 24, 26 & 27 are now sold out! Due to incredible demand, one more date has been added at Singapore National Stadium on Jan. 30,” the promoter Live Nation wrote on Instagram, Monday evening, June 19, 2023.
Additional ticket sales for the Coldplay concert in Singapore will start on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 10:00 local time via ticketmaster.sg. The general sale of the concert tickets will start at the same time.
