TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Metro Police to hold the sixth street race on June 24-25. This activity is held routinely to be a vessel for those who are interested in racing and to mitigate illegal street race that often occurs.
"Street race registration is open starting 12 [of June]," said Jakarta Metro Police director of the traffic unit, St. Comsr. Latif Usman when met at his office on Saturday, June 10.
He said that this event was part of the Kapolda Cup 2023 held by his institution. Latif hopes this race could be a medium for automotive enthusiasts who love racing.
The races that would be held in this event are drag races from each class. The vehicles include modified matic motorbikes, big motorbikes, etc.
Latif added that the race is part of the series of programs for the police anniversary (HUT Bhayangkara).
Similar to last year's event, there will be booths selling spare parts for racing, as well as food, fashion, and other entertainment.
