TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Metro Police temporarily stops the odd-even plate number policy for four-wheeled vehicles due to the national holidays on Thursday and Friday, June 1-2. The Police Traffic Director Sr. Comsr. Latif Usman confirmed the news.
"There is no odd-even policy during national holidays," he told journalists on Wednesday, May 31.
In addition to the odd-even policy, the car-free day activity in Jakarta will also be halted on Sunday, June 4, as stated by Jakarta Traffic Police through its social media account @tmcpoldametro.
"Due to the Vesak Day 2567 Buddhist Era, the car-free days on June 4 will temporarily be halted," wrote @tmcpoldametro.
Jakarta has 26 areas that implement the odd-even policy based on Governor Regulation 88/2019 on the changes in Regulation 155/2018 on the traffic limitation with the odd-even traffic scheme.
The Indonesian Government set the long holidays starting on June 1, the birthday of Pancasila, until Vesak Day on Sunday, June 4.
