TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: National Mandate Party decided to coalesce with the Democratic Party a senior party official said on Monday (27/4).Dradjad Wibowo a legislator from the party said the Amien Rais and Soetrisno Bachir the two different sides in the party took the decision in the 10-minute meeting at the party's office in Jakarta. The party according to Dradjad also proposed two of its officials, Soetrisno Bachir, and Hatta Radjasa, the current State Secretary to become the running mate for President Yudhoyono in the next presidential race. However Amien Rais and Soetrisno Bachir declined to reveal further result of the meeting or to comment on the vice presidential candidates.No official statement after the meeting as Dradjad said the party to announce its formal decision after the party's national level meeting on May 2nd.The party secured so far 6.25 percent of the popular vote, or the fifth largest party according to the latest publication of the election office.ANTON SEPTIAN
