TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Metro Police deploy 750 joint personnel to guard the South Korean girl band Red Velvet, on Saturday, starting at 14:30. The concert will be held at Hall 5, Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD, Tangerang, Banten.
“500 TNI-police personnel for concert security,” said Polda Metro Jaya public relations chief Sr. Commissioner Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko when contacted in Jakarta, Saturday, May 20 Mei, as reported by Antara.
The management also has internal security officers to help secure the music concert. “There is 250 internal security personnel,” said Trunoyudo.
K-pop artist Red Velvet came to Jakarta in a series of the fourth global tour under the theme "Red Velvet 4th Concert: R to V", on May 20, 2023, as reported through its Twitter account on Monday, March 27, 2023.
In total, the girl group under the management of SM Entertainment will visit 10 cities in Asia and Europe with 13 show times.
Before coming to Jakarta, they opened the world tour show in Seoul on April 1-2 and Singapore on April 21. Then in Yokohama, Manila, Bangkok, Paris, Berlin, and Amsterdam in May. They will be visiting London in June.
Red Velvet, comprising five personnel, namely Joy, Wendy, Irene, Seulgi, and Yeri, has met their Indonesian fans several times, such as at the "Seoul Talk Concert" in 2017 and when they performed at a birthday event of an Indonesian TV channel in 2019.
They also performed at the "Super K-Pop Festival" on September 28-29, 2019 in ICE BSD, Tangerang, and a music festival in Jakarta in Mei 2022.
