TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is currently analyzing the electronic wealth report (LHKPN) submitted by Reihana, who assumes the Head of Lampung’s Health Agency. The person in question came under public scrutiny after showing her lavish lifestyle.
“We are analyzing the LHKPN of the person for the past several years,” said KPK deputy of prevention Pahala Nainggolan on April 20. The KPK will also look into the bank accounts and land certificates under her name.
The Deputy for Prevention will also probe into her track record, and whether Reihana had been reported to the antigraft commission. Examinations will be extensively done to determine whether her assets match her profile.
"After Eid, if there is a discrepancy, we will summon her for clarification," he said.
Reihana’s questionable lavish appearance first came under public scrutiny amidst the public discussion related to a TikTok user’s rant criticizing the lack of development in his hometown of Lampung. The TikToker is Bima Yudha Saputro, who currently studies abroad in Australia.
Bima was also reported to the police over his criticism of Lampung’s administration. However, the police currently have dropped the case as they deemed the complaint did not contain any legal offenses.
Due to the exposure to Lampung’s local government, Reihana was also criticized over her use of branded and expensive outfits and carrying purses from known brands such as Hermes and Louis Vuitton. Reihana was once incriminated in a corruption case investigation regarding the procurement of healthcare equipment in the Lampung Province in 2016.
Lampung Governor Arinal Djunaidi responded to the controversy and asked the media to not focus too much on the lavish lifestyle of his Health Agency head. He even defended her lavishness by stating that she might have purchased the items by saving money throughout her career.
