TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Retired Lieautenant General Prabowo Subianto of Great Indonesia Movement Party met the chairman of National Mandate Party, Sutrisno Bachir at the party headquarters in Jakarta on Wednesday (15/3).Secretary General of National Mandate Party Zulkifli Hasan said he had not know the purpose of Prabowo's visit. It was the third meeting with political party leaders by Prabowo after the legislative election put the party at number eight of ten parties with highest votes so far.The first meeting was with Megawati Soekarnoputri at her residence in Central Jakarta, and the second was with (Ret) General Wiranto chairman of the People's Conscious Party at the party's headquarters, which currently stood at number nine with 3.52 percent of the votes.For National Mandate Party it was the first post election-meeting with other political party after a series of pre-election meetings with-in sequential order- the Democratic Party, Golkar Party, and the Indonesia Democratic Party of Struggle.National Mandate Party, at fifth place, according to the election commission tally have secured 6.3 percent of the votes while Great Indonesia Movement grabbed 4.4 percent.The election was the first for Great Indonesia Movement and People's Conscious Party, which were founded in 2008 and 2006 respectively.HAYATI MAULANA NUR
