TEMPO.CO, JakartaData allegedly belonging to the Finance Ministry's Directorate General of Tax were distributed freely on a hacking forum website. The information was disclosed by a Twitter account by the name of @FalconFeedsio four days ago. The account uploaded a screenshot of a site displaying the leaked data.

"The database belonging to the Directorate General of Tax is added to the hacking forum. It is said that the data holds 34 files in RAR, PDF, CSV, and ZIP formats. #Indonesia #databreach #cyberrisk.” the account tweeted on Friday, March 3, 2023, as quoted by Tempo.

The screenshot image showed that the data was uploaded by an account named theheroes on Saturday, February 25, at 03:40 PM.

Alfons Tanujaya, a cyber security observer from Vaksincom, examined the leaked data that was published on the Breached.to website and found it to be quite reliable. "It needs to be investigated, who leaked it and where did the data come from," Alfons told Tempo, on Friday, March 3, 2023.

Alfons also downloaded the data, some of which were data from the Kebon Jeruk Tax Office (KPP) including the billing activity data in September 2022. Alfons showed that there were files containing tax employees' private information including names, identification numbers (NIP), ranks, positions, and latest education.

"Given the quite broad data coverage, it is likely from the central or regional office," said Alfons, adding that the data were shared for free on Breached.to.
