Golkar And National Mandate Party Agree on Economic Visions

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Golkar Party and The National Mandate Party held a meeting in jakarta on Wednesday after a series of inter-party meetings with other major political party in the face of general elections.Chairman of Golkar Party, Jusuf Kalla told a press conference after a meeting in a restaurant in Jakarta on Wednesday (1/4) no political issues included in their discussion on economy. However the meeting concluded in a five-point agreement on economic orientations.Kalla said both party to support a state budget, natural resources utilization, investment, and trade, and regional government empowerment, which envisions economic development in the rural areas and for small businesses. The agreement also includes improvements on consumption of local products and services, and human resource productivity, competitivenes, and quality.National Mandate Party was led by its chairman Sutrisno Bachir, in the meeting who was scheduled to meet officials from the Indonesia Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) on Wednesday evening. The party have also met with Democratic Party of President Yudhoyono last week, while Golkar Party have made a series of meetings with PDI-P, United Development Party, and Prosperous Justice Party.KURNIASIH BUDI
