TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Chairman of the National Awakening Party, Muhaimin Iskandar, visited President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at his private residence on Thursday, in Cikeas, a suburb area in the southern tip of Jakarta. Several officials from the Democratic Party, led by Yudhoyono were on hand including its chairman, Hadi Utomo.The one-hour meeting according to a party official from the National Awakening Party, Nursyahbani Katjasungkana discussed possibilities of coalition between the two parties ahead of election.The National Awakening Party also represented by its Secretary General, also the Minister of Disadvantaged Region, Lukman Edy, dan Deputy Secretary General, Helmy Faisal Zaini.Nursyahbani also said that the meeting is a follow-up to the first official meeting between the two parties last week, when the Democratic Party sent its officials to the National Awakening Party's office.On Wednesday (25/3) chairman of The National Mandate Party, Soetrisno Bachir, and some of its officials came to see Yudhoyono in Cikeas.Indonesia scheduled its legislative election on April 9th, and the presidential election on July 8th this year.EKO ARI WIBOWO
