TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Ministry on Wednesday assured legislators in a work meeting with Commission VI House of Representatives that Pertamina Geothermal Energy will make an initial public offering or IPO.
SOEs Ministry deputy minister Pahala Nugraha Mansury said the first and second registration to the Financial Services Authority (OJK) has been done. He explained that the submission of share prices to OJK can be done at the end of 2022 or early 2023.
"Then there will be a public expose, registration, and a public offering period. We hope that later on the share offering on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the listing of the shares can be completed in the first quarter of 2023," said Pahala in the House meeting on December 7.
The steps toward IPO for Pertamina Geothermal Energy, according to him, are being carried out because the firm which is one of the world’s largest geothermal energy companies hones the potential of an installed capacity of up to 672 MW.
The IPO, he said, is an attempt to unlock the value of Pertamina's sub holding in the field of new and renewable energy.
