TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia will host the G20 Summit in mid-November 2022. To mitigate the spread of Covid-19, the Health Ministry will optimize health services, one of them is by adding 14 languages to the PeduliLindungi; the country's all-in-one contact tracing and vaccination record app.
In a coordination meeting at the G20 Summit in Bali, Tuesday, August 30, Deputy Minister of Health, Dante Saksono Harbuwono, said that making the app more multi-lingual is an effort to ensure that guests of the G20 presidency get health services of the maximum standard.
"For now, the PeduliLindungi is available in nine languages, five more will be added," he Dante said.
The app is currently available in Indonesian, English, Chinese, French, Japanese, Russian, Arabic, Korean, and Spanish. Five more languages that will be added are Portuguese, German, Italian and Turkish.
Dante said that all delegates must be fully vaccinated and registered in the PeduliLindungi app prior to departure. "Delegates are expected to have health insurance or travel insurance that guarantees hospital care, including for Covid-19," he said.
The Indonesian Health Ministry also prepares seven international hospitals in Bali for the G20 Summit.
