West Nusa Tenggara Hotel Occupancy Logs Slight Drop

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of the West Nusa Tenggara Statistics Indonesia, Wahyudin, said the occupancy of highly-rated hotels in the region throughout June this year had grown by 38.73 percent or 6.38 points compared to May. Despite this monthly growth, the occupancy on a year-on-year basis actually shows a decline.
“Compared to the occupancy level of June 2021 of 39.92 percent, this year showed a 1.19 point reduction,” said Wahyudin.
Meanwhile, the occupancy of non-star hotels in June 2022 was recorded at 20.66 percent, an increase of 1.34 points compared to May which was 19.32 percent. Compared to the occupancy for non-star hotels in June 2021 of 13.74 percent, the occupancy for June 2022 has increased by 6.92 points.
The average length of stay of guests at star hotels in June 2022 is 1.97 days. This figure decreased by 0.06 days compared to the length of stay in May 2022 which was 2.03 days.
Meanwhile, the length of stay of guests in non-star hotels in June 2022 was recorded at 1.41 days. This figure is up 0.07 days compared to the length of stay in May 2022 which was 1.34 days.
Wahyudin said that from the visitor's point of view, there were 68,205 recorded guests staying at star=classified hotels in June 2022. These guests consisted of 63,296 domestic guests (92.80 percent) and 4,909 international guests (7.20 percent).
The number of guests staying at non-star hotels in June 2022 was 52,559 people. This figure includes 48,773 domestic guests (93.28 percent) and 3,786 international guests (6.72 percent).
