TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Provincial Government often cooperated with the humanitarian group Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT), which is suspected of misusing public funds for the personal interests of its high-ranking officials. In response to the case, Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria claimed he had just received the information.
Riza confirmed that the city administration made collaborations with the private sector, including ACT. “Jakarta always collaborates in synergy with all parties, including private parties, communities, activists, and so on,” he said at the City Hall, Central Jakarta, Monday, July 4, 2022.
The Gerindra Party politician also said there had been no problems during the cooperation with ACT. Regarding the alleged abuse of funds by ACT executives, he said the city government will examine the case.
“We will absolutely evaluate everything, the problems, that will later be handled by relevant parties,” said Riza.
He ensured that the past collaboration between the provincial government and ACT went well, including the Qurbani program last year.
A number of ACT programs in tandem with Jakarta included the Jakarta Care Line in 2020, the distribution of Qurbani or sacrificial meat in 2020-2021, and the program of waqf for Indonesian micro business capital in 2021.
