TEMPO.CO, Aceh - An earthquake measuring 5.9 in magnitude shook Aceh Jaya district, Aceh province, around 19:02 p.m. local time on Saturday night.
"So far, there have been no reports of damage. We are still trying to collect data," head of the Aceh Jaya Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency, Fajri, said from Meulaboh, West Aceh when contacted on Saturday night.
On Friday, a magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck inland near the western coast of Sumatra, killing at least two people and causing tremors that were felt in neighboring Singapore and Malaysia, officials said.
