TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia’s number of coronavirus disease or Covid-19 keeps rising. The virus mitigation task force reported an additional 7,199 confirmed cases on Thursday, December 24, 2020.

As of 12 p.m. today, based on the Ministry of Health data, the new positive cases were found after testing 61,068 people. The country, thus, has seen 692,838 confirmed infections.

There were still 108,269 patients diagnosed with the disease and being treated in the hospital, or 15.6 percent of the total positive cases.

The number of recovered patients also increased by 5,277, bringing the total recovery to 563,980. Meanwhile, Indonesia recorded 181 more people died from the virus, pushing the death toll to 20,589 to date.
