Pontianak University Closed off One Faculty after Lecturer Contracts Covid-19

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Tanjungpura University in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, has temporarily closed the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) building after a lecturer was infected with the new coronavirus disease (Covid-19). All activities in the building are stopped, and everything is conducted online from home.
"Lectures will be continued online," Garuda's chancellor Wiko said on Sunday, September 13.
Garuda said that the closure will provide health workers time and opportunity to sterilize the vicinity. The faculty will be closed for two weeks.
Harisson, head of the West Kalimantan Health Office, said that as of Sunday the province has recorded seven new confirmed cases, bringing the total to 754. The seven new cases are from Pontianak City (2), Kubu Raya Regency (2), Singkawang City (2), and Sambas Regency (1).
The province has recorded six deaths related to Covid-19.
