TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani stated that the holiday allowance (THR) for civil servants (PNS), the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) and the Police Force (Polri) has been prepared for the upcoming Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

“Calculations for civil servants, the Indonesian Army and the Police has been done; the holiday allowance has been prepared,” said the minister in a teleconference on Tuesday, April 7, 2020.

She explained that the holiday allowance proposal has been submitted to President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo. The proposal will then be discussed with the president and the relevant ministries before being submitted to the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR).

“The President is still asking for calculations to be finalized, and it will be decided by him in the coming weeks,” Minister Sri added.

Previously, Jokowi had instructed the Finance Minister to reconsider holiday allowance and the 13th salary for civil servants.

"The president has asked us to study the holiday allowance (proposal), whether it needs to be reconsidered, given the rising expenditure burden," said Sri Mulyani in a meeting with the House of Representative Finance Commission.
