TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Sulianti Saroso Infectious Disease Hospital (RSPI Sulianti Saroso), North Jakarta, has discharged two patients who were declared cured and negative from COVID-19 on Tuesday, March 24, 2020. Sulianti Saroso director Mohammad Syahril said that the hospital currently isolates 10 patients positive for the disease.
On the other hand, one Patient Under Monitoring (PDP) passed away on Monday, March 23, said Syahril. Furthermore, the hospital has four new PDPs, bringing the total 15 patients under monitoring in Sulianti Saroso Hospital.
"So, the total number of patients currently being treated is as many as 25 people," said Syahril in a video statement this afternoon.
Syahril explained that RSPI Sulianti Saroso has yet to refer any patients to the emergency hospital at the athlete’s dorm. But RSPI has an agreement if patients with mild to moderate of coronavirus disease symptoms arrive, it would refer them to the emergency hospital and vice versa.
Sulianti Saroso Infectious Disease Hospital has now also expanded the capacity of its isolation chamber to 30 beds, from an initial isolation capacity of 11 beds. Syahril also confirmed that there are no COVID-19 positive patients or Patient Under Monitoring who are isolated outside the hospital.
President Joko Widodo had previously officiated the Athlete's Village in Kemayoran as an emergency hospital for coronavirus disease yesterday, March 23, 2020. Four of the 10 towers at the athlete's dorm are used as emergency hospitals.
