Voted as Best Minister, Erick Thohir: It Whips Us to Work Better

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Erick Thohir finally gave a comment related to the performance of the Ministry of SOEs which entered the ranks of ministries of public choice in one survey. On top of that, he has also been considered to be the most qualified minister, along with Sri Mulyani.
Through Twitter, Erick Thohir tweeted that there were a number of surveys that mentioned the Ministry of SOEs being one of the best or most popular. According to him, this will be a whip for the team to work better.
"We will make these results a whip, to work better," he tweeted, on Sunday, February 16, 2020.
Despite the achievements, Erick Thohir stated the Ministry of SOEs has been very open to suggestions and criticisms. He promised that any award would not make the team work complacent, instead making his team work more solidly to run President Joko Widodo's programs.
"I am grateful to be met by a good team. Hopefully, the award does not make us complacent, but increasingly solid in running the President's program," he added.
On Sunday 16 February 2020, Indo Barometer released the results of its survey regarding the public perception on the 100-day performance of the Indonesia Maju Cabinet. Results showed that the Ministry of SOEs became the ministry with the most complete performance. Of the 10 performance categories surveyed, the Ministry of SOEs ranks among the top 3 best in 8 performance categories.
The Indo Barometer survey also pointed to the figure of Erick Thohir as a minister who has achieved real work results, has a suitability of expertise, is brave, has high intellect, handles problems, is professional, as well as having performed effectively and efficiently.
In total, the public regards Erick Thohir and Sri Mulyani as the best-performing ministers. The survey results also showed Erick as the minister with the most courage in carrying out his duties and functions as a minister.
