TEMPO.CO, JakartaJakarta Education Agency admitted to making mistakes in registering data of the purchase of Aibon glue worth Rp82 billion on the city’s 2020 budget ceiling.

The unreasonably high budget was discovered by a Jakarta councilor from the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) William Aditya Sarana on Tuesday night via his social media account.

“That was likely a typing mistake, we are checking all the components to be corrected,” said the agency secretary Susi Nurhati in a phone call with Tempo in Jakarta, Tuesday.

Susi underlined that the budget proposed by West Jakarta’s Education Body 1 was only for papers and inks. She asserted there was no budget for glue procurement.

She said her staffers would examine parties who were drafting the budget for glue purchase at Rp82.8 billion.

Previously, Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) PSI faction member William Aditya Sarana highlighted the budget proposed by the city’s education agency for the purchase of Aibon glue of Rp82 billion through his Twitter account @willsarana.

William said that by the figure, the Education Agency could supply two cans of Aibon glue for a student in Jakarta per month.
