Jokowi Leads Pancasila Sanctity Day Ceremony at Lubang Buaya

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo presides over the annual ceremony to commemorate Pancasila Sanctity Day on October 1 at the Pancasila Sakti Monument field, Lubang Buaya, East Jakarta.
The President came with Vice President Jusuf Kalla, and both are accompanied by their spouses First Lady Iriana and Mufidah Kalla
In the ceremony, the Regional Legislative Council (DPD) speaker Oesman Sapta Odang read Pancasila, followed by the reading of the 1945 Constitution by the People's Consultative Assembly chairman Zulkifli Hasan.
Meanwhile, the reading and signing of the pledge are led by the House of Representatives (DPR) speaker Bambang Soesatyo. Education and Culture Minister Muhadjir Effendy led the prayer.
Presented at the commemoration event were Constitutional Court Chief Justice Anwar Usman, State Secretary Minister Pratikno, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, State-owned Enterprises Minister Rini Soemarno, and Agriculture Minister Amran Sulaiman.
Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Village Minister Eko Putro Sandjojo, Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Archandra Tahar, National Police Chief Gen. Tito Karnavian, TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto and the chief of staff also attend the ceremony.
